The residency turned out to be a timely experience for me to explore the creative loneliness that has been haunting me lately, which gave rise to the processes of creating phantom friends – in the form of naive graphics, as well as a puppet friend for my bat.
The puppet bat has found a waggon house – I was curious to check how such a symbolic event in the life of a puppet I feel associated with myself would feel. It’s great that both the form and all the mater-ials were found in the neighborhood of Wagenhalle (thanks to Jan), or found among the discarded things in the city. It made the process feel organic and connected to the place.
