Bella, is a pixadora*, urban free climber and multimedia artist who investigates public spaces, suggesting their structures from a laboratory of experiments that proposes the city as a place for art, encountering others, reflection, exchange of knowledge, leisure and countless other possibilities than just only a place for relationships based strictly on consumption.
It is through performances and actions of urban aesthetic interventions that the artist researches and also seeks to participate in the image composition of the urban scenario, portraying later her experiences in an intimate way, through drawings, painting, videos and sculptures. Bella’s art are rooted in experiences of a woman who occupies, builds and questions the logic of the city’s use and also represents a female voice from the global South. Her works and process address the relationship between the woman’s universe and the scars of the city.

*pixação is Brazilian graffiti writing with a rather cryptic style. One of many ways to do it is by climbing the facades of buildings.
